-4 ] (From Our Own Correspondent.) A very enjoyable evening was spent by those who braved the elements (which were anything but ple*asant) on Tuesday, April 24, in the. Parish Hall, when a dance was held under the auspices of the Young People's Guild. Dancing was indulged in till the early hours, when the people retired well satisfied with the evening's programme. The young people hope to run dances I every fortnight, and hope to make each j as successful as the last. The next is to be held on May 8. j The usual fortnightly euchre party '• and dance was held in 'the Parish Hall j ob, Tuesday last, May 1, when after I some very close finishes in the card■'] games Mrs. Hannigan, of Pihama, was successful in pulling off the first prize, 1 Mr. J. Barleyman winning the gentlemen's first prize. After supper dancing was indulged in for several hoc s to the satisfaction of all. The above parties are run by the Anglicans, and - have become a most popular little- function. ,
