PARK CLUB. i The official closing of the Park green for the 1922-23 season took place yes- i terday afternoon under good weather '■ conditions, and with .a fair attendance ' of members and visitors. Mr. J. M. Westaway (president) made a few ap- | propriate remarks, and then presented ! the prizes as follows: Chanroion singles, I W. Butler; runner-up, E. McPhillips— ■ both prizes .were kindly given by Mr. I J. Kirk; handicap singles, E. J. Squire. : A presentation was also made to Mr. j F. A. Quin in acknowledgment of his ■ excellent work as green warden, several ' of the older players having procured a silver-mounted cigarette holder for the purpose. Afternoon tea was supplied i by the ladies. The time-honoured '■ match President v. Vice-president was ' played, the former winning by four : points on the aggregate.
