MEETING OF PARISHIONERS. ' (From Our Own Correspondent.) The annual meeting of parishioners of St. George's Church was held in the Sunday school on Monday evening last, the Rev. Mr. Goertz presiding. There was a poor, attendance. The report for the year was read, disclosing a very much improved position over the previous year. The balance-sheet was adopted. The foLowing were elected office-bearers for the -ensuing year: Vicar's warden, jVli\ t\. . Honeyiield; parishioners' warden, Mr. G. A. btepheuson; vestry, Messrs Ramsbottom, I'arrant. Sheiid, Roberts, Gienny, O.nnsby. and Wiley: auditor, Mr. N. H.a^chiig; synodsman, Mr. C. R. Honeyfield. The reports for the' Ladies' Guild, Patea Sunday School, and Whenuakura Sunday Schools were read and adopted. The chairman expressed his great appreciation of the work carried out by Miss Tarrant in connection with, the Kakaramea Sunday school, and Mr. and Mrs. Barber, for similar work at Hurleyville. Before the meeting was closed Mr. Glenny said he would like to move: "That this meeting place on record its great appreciation of itli© Twsrk of the Ladies' Guild, the s&uaaday School teachers, and all others who had assisted in the church's work during the past ! year." Seconded by Mr. Harding and , carried. j The meeting then adjourned. 1 KAKARAMEA QUEEN CARNIVAL. > The final dance in connection with the Kakaramea Oneen Carnival was held in the Town Hall here last evening and was well attended. During the evening the result of the voting for the candidates was announced as follows: Miss Bunbury (Kakaramea) 46,261; Miss Ona Adams (Patea) 23,85).
