ALLEGED THEFT

WELLINGTON, March 10. Yesterday the police arrested >a. man named William Mcßaih, for whom they have been searching for some time, in connection with the theft of goods from the Wellington Woollen Co. It will be remembered that the secretary's motor car was stolen from a passage-war in! ivhich it had been left. It was found later at Island Bay in the care of the New Zealand Express Co. The police found two neat packages of goods ready to be sent to certain addresses. The contents of the 3 packages proved to be all the missing goods arid* more Tyhich had not been reported. The total value of them is said to be over £200. In the possession of Mcßain' when he was arrested * was found a loaded revolver.
