AUCKLAND, Feb. 16. Maelaren, uho leaves for Sydney tomorrow, stated this evening that, properly selected, a New Zealand team would certainly make a match against any English county. He strongly advised sending a team to England under proper selection, and in his opinion a good .side would be Snedden,, Collins, Blunt, . Grant, Shepherd, Rountree, Brice, Dacre, Garrard, Hiddleston, Dempster, Sandman and Patrick.
Mr. Williams, president of the New Zealand Cricket Council, states that it is intended, if possible, to send a New Zealand team to ..Britain in 1925.
