FRENCH SQUADRON.
MELBOURNE, Dec. 29. The French Squadron officers were officially entertained at luncheon by the Federal Parliament. Mr Hughes was presented with a palm by Admiral Gilly as a token of France's appreciation of Australia's assistance in the war.
