HAWERA TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS.

Some good exhibitions were given by the competitors at me Hawera Technical Higii Bchool annual boys' sports, which were held at King Kdward Pane yesterday. Despite the showery weather tnere was a fair attendance. The ground was well prepared and the principal, Mr/Gray, was responsible for the smooth running of the arrangements. Afternoon tea was served by the school girls, who carried out their duties in a capable manner. The invitation race of 220 yards (won by M. Gray) was a splendid race, the competitors being the pick of the High Schools in Taranaki. Owing to heavy rain falling a number of the events were postponed until to-day.
