HAWERA LADIES' CLUB. The ladies closed their golf season yesterday with an all-day tournament. Weather conditions were perfect. An 18-hole bogey competition was played in the morning; approaching and putting, driving and putting competitions were held in the afternoon. Quite a numbers of visitors, as well as visiting players, went out to the links, and after afternoon tea Miss Burgess, the captain, thanked Mrs. Tonks and Messrs. Tonks for the generous help given to the club in allowing their property to be used as golf links. She then j asked Mrs. Tonks, as president, to present the prizes won during the season by the different players.
