THE PATEA SEAT.

To the Editor. Sir, —I have read the letters appearing in last Tuesday's Star in reply to my simple query, and I am sorry to say'l a-m more in the dark than ever with regard to Mr. Dixon's position in connection yith the Liberal Party. It is claimed that there is very little difference between Liberals and Reformers, but this is all nonsense. There is a big difference, for Mr. Massey has distinctly stated that he will under no circumstances enter into an alliance with the, Labour Party, whilst Mr. Wilford says h# will on the proportional representation question. Your correspondent "Progressive" puts forward a good suggestion that Mr. Corrigan and Mr. Dixon meet, with a view to one of them standing down. Will they do this? —I am, eto., A REFORM ELECTOR.
