'.'■.".-' WELLINGTON, Oct. 19. ■__• The fact that it is cheaper to send -consignments of soap from Wanganui to Palmerston North by motor than by the railways was mentioned in the House of Representatives by Mr. W. Glenn to-day. The member read a letter in which the correspondent stated that he had recently found this to be true with a consignment. Mr. Glenn asked the Minister of Railways whether I fc& would Simend the tariff to meet the competition of motors. ] The Hon. D. H.
