A criticism of the.school method of studying Shakespeare was delivered by Mr. Allan Wilkie in an address to the Auckland Rotary Club (states the Herald). He said no good purpose could be served by devoting a whole year to the study of one play, which was parsed, analysed, and written about, m order that the pupils might pass an examination on it.
