■ The monthly meeting of the Plunbet Society was held in the Plunket rooms yesterday. There were present: Mesdames Foyster (chair), Jobson,' Godfrey, Graves, Pratt, Winks, Sellar, Haggett, Misses Hewitt (treasurer), King (secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdames Spence and Rawson. ■.•,■,,' Correspondence was read and dealt with. Eltham's resignation was received, i Jt was decided to try and work up a branch at Manaia. The nurse has had appeals from mothers in that district, and as Nurse Dix has a free day now, Manaia could very well be worked. The nurse's report was read and adopted. It showed that the new cases for the month numbered 33, mothers and babies to Plunket rooms 956, nurse's visits to homes 418. The Eltham branch is now worked from Stratford. Subscriptions were received from Mesdames B. F. Corrigan £1 Is, Gillett 10s, Gamlin 10s. ,A. C. Walker ss, Patterson ss, Plunket box at police station £1 14s lid. Accounts totalling £1S 9s 9d were passed for payment.
