PORT OF LONDON AUTHORITY.
The works under construction by the Port of London Authority for the frozen meat trade are as follows:
A. cold store and cold sorting shed on the north side of the Boyal Albert Dock, capable of storing 646,000 carcases of mutton at one time, equipped "with the most modern, mechanical appliances for - handling meat cargoes costing £450,000.
Works authorised comprise a quay and two sheds at the Eoyal Victoria Dock, equipped with modern appliances for the discharge of meat, costing £280,000; also a quay yand two-storey shed at the import East India Dock with accommodation for the discharge of meat. Also, new works authorised to deal with other cargo to the extent of £3,835,000.
