SUGAR BILL.
MELBOURNE, Oct. 14. The Sugar Bill was passed through all stages in the Senate. Is the House the Minister for Customs announced that sugar would be reduced to 5d from November 1. . The Joint Committee on Public Acpunts, in an interim report, states that £26 per ton would be a sufficient price for raw sugar, which could be" retailed at £42 per ton or 4£d per pound. The balance sheets for the period of sugar control ending May 19, 1922, show a nett loss of £302,000. ■
