Mr. T. Gallagher, of Hawera, met with an unfortunate accident last evening when coming down the fire escape steps at the Opera House after the pictures. The heavy rain had made the steps very slippery, and as the result of a fall Mr. 'Gallagher sustained a broken leg. He was removed to the hospital, and this morning he was reported to be doing as well as could be expected.
