A deputation representing -fruit interests waited upon' Sir James Allen, complaining >of the multiplicaty of ibrands on cases, and urging that each "consignee should have a registered murnber, which should be stamped on the case prior to shipment, thus facilitating the delivery of cases from the .ship. Sir James Allen, gave a sympa--thetip reply. Similar trouble has, been .long standing in; the Australian, trade.
