The totalisator, handled £19,200, compared with £22,801 for the corresponding day at last year's spring meeting. Results: —

Spring 'Surdles—Grange (I. THlson) 1, Londonderry 2, Strathgla&s 3. vAlso started: Romance, {lood Start, Mazaina, Old Gold. Mystico, Innisfallen, Clavernouse. ■■ )iVon by a length and a half, a snort length between second and third. Mystico was fourth, just behind the fast-finishing Strathglass. Time, 3min 2Q 4-ssec.. Maungatua Handicaps-Many Kittle (D. Cotton) 1, Warhaven 2, Ardour 3. Won by threequarters of a length, ay head between second arid third. The winner was always handy, and won nicely from' Angelo, with Silent King a neck in front .of.General Advance.
