FOOTBALL.
At a meeting of the committee of the Hawera Football Club held last evening it was decided to wind up the season by holding a smoke concert in the Oddfellows- Hall on Friday, October 20. The question of the disposal of the money raised by the match played in Hawera in aid'of the unemployed fund was discussed. It was decided to add the amount received from the Taranaki Kugby. Union on account of the Charity Saturday matches to that already in hand, and Messrs Beamish and Goodwin were appointed to act with Mr Gillanders re expending same. /
