RECORDS IN AUSTRALIA.

\ ...'., SYDNEY, Oct. 12. The seismograph at R^verview recorded an earthquake shock, though too indistinct to locate the exact position; but, apparently, there was a big disturbance about 8000 miles distant.
ADELAIDE, Oct. 12,
A faMy severe earthquake was felt at Morphett 'Vale. It lasted for three seconds, making houses creak, but no damage was done. The shock was preceded by^a heavy Tumbling sound, and was followed by a brief rain-squall.
