BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT, (Received Oct. 12, 11.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 12. The new duties operate to-day. j Raw cane sugar is £9 6s 8d a ton and white £11 13s 4d. Invert sugar | syrup is the same, and sugar not else- ! where included £14; goldenL syrup not ! elsewhere included £5 16s Bd. The duty applies to British, intermediate, and general tariff.
