LONDON WOOL SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. have*, received the following cable from London dated October .10th.: "Wool sales opened; competition by home and French buyers active and prices compared close preceding series in sellers' favour. Opening catalogues not representative compared last sales. Closing rates pricesi are higher about 5 per cent to 7-J per ! cent medium and coarse greasy crossbred, 1\ per cent to 10 per cent merino, and 10 per cent fine greasy crossbred.
