COMMONWEALTH STEAMERS.
MELBOURNE, Oct. 11
Mr Hughes is introducing a Bill providing for the appointment of a board of directors :to control the Commonwealth Line of steamers, which will be taken but of political control and vested in the board. Profits up to ten per cent, will go to the reserve fund and above that to the consolidated revenue.
