"OVER THE HILL."
There was the largest gathering seen at the Opera House for many weeks past last evening to, see the great picture "Over the Hill. I As the spfcory was unfolded the interest of the onlookers increased, and everybody"' was wrapped deeply in thought by the time the first part was over! The wonderf ul presentation on the part of the mother, the fine character of Johnny, arid the acting of the children.led the people on to the great lesson which the latter parts of, the story teach. The {splendid photography and the reality of the scenes, which are'so'true to life, left nothing to be desired, and when the screening had finished tEere must have been very f^v, it" any, of the large gathering who left the Opera House without deep_ thoughts upon the .tragedies of life which are daily taking place, but which are so often forgotten in 'the rush after selfish comfort an 3* pleasure. Mr, T. Harvey, again sang .the song "Over the Hill" in fine style, and the special music provided by the orchestra conducted By Sir. Newberry was much appreciated. Tonight will be the last opportunity for seeing this" great" picture, and those who fail to book their seats will need to be at the Opera House early if they hope to get in. Last night the house was full to overflowing, and the man- . agement regrets that some people could not be accommodated. ~
