LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS

The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office under date 6th inst.: —

Butter—Quiet; 218s to 224s per cwt. Cheese—Firm. Coloured* 96s to 100s per cwt., white 98s to 102s. Frozen meat—Mutton market firm; moderate business has been done. There is a good demand for lamb. Owing to heavy arrivals of Argentine, beef is selling at low prices, and the demand is slow. Wethers, light 7d to Bjd per lb, heavy 6^d to 6fd, ewes 5d to 6d, lambs, light ll£d to 12-£ d, heavy IOJd to lid, seconds ll£d to 12d, ox hinds 4-2-d to sd, fores 3d to 3Jd, cow hinds. 4d to 4sd, fores 2d to 2fd.
