The outbreak of a mysterious disease at Lowood, which is supposed to be ; meningitis, and which has caused the i deaths of several children, has now appeared at Ipswich, and has resulted in six deaths in hospital and a number of other deaths. Two children at Gatton also succumbed. The disease is puzzling doctors, and so far nothing has been discovered to serve as a precautionary measure. All the patients died after a half to three days' illness.
