LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS
1 The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office under date 21st inst.: —
Butter—Steady demand; 180s to 184s per cwt. Cheese—Steady; coloured 92s to 94s ■white 84s to 86s.
Frozen meat—Good demand for mution likely to continue. The demand for lamb still continues, though not quite so brisk owing to cold weather. Beef market depressed owing to heavy arrivals of Argentine. Wethers, light 7jd to B£d per lb, heavy Bid to 7jd; ewes s£d to 7d; lambs lid to llfd, seconds lOjd to lOfd; ox hinds 3^l to 4Jd, fores 2?>d to 3Jd; cow hinds 3d to 3£d, fores 2d to 2*d.
