FORTY-FOUR HOUR WEEK
SYDNEY, April 26. The operation of the forty-four hour week is adversely affecting silica quarries near Milton. A hundred employees have heen dismissed as a consequence. The timber mills at Nawra and Batesman's Bay are reducing their staffs for the same reason.
