THE SHOOTING SEASON.

Notice is given of the depots whence licenses may bh procured for the coming season. _ This will cover cock pheasant, Californian quail, grey, duck, black teal, and swan, and lasts until July 31. It will be noticed that native game are now covered by license, but native pigeon, pukako, and paradise duck are absolutely protected. All sportsmen should clo their best to uphold the society in their efl'orts to improve shooting in the district.
