I'.'oj-th High School. One of the Fort Albert settlers who arrived in New Zealand by the ship Annie Wilson, Mrs Jane Bradbury, died last week, aged 92 years, reports the Auckland Star. Another old Wellington settler has passed away in the person of Mrs Mary Ann Read, who died on Tuesday morning. Deceased, who was in her 79th year, arrived in Wellington about 48 years ago. She leaves a 'family of six sons and three daughters, all married, j Mr M. Fraser was yesterday reelected to the position of chairman of the Taranaki Hospital Board for a further term of two years. Members of the board all spoke in appreciative terms of Mr Fraser's good work as' chairman. Mr Fraser, in returning thanks, mentioned that he did not intend to stand at the next election for the Taranaki Hospital Board. Mr Gilmour asked Mr Fraser to reconsider his decision to retire, and said the board and the ratepayers were unanimous in the desire that he should continue, more particularly in order to give a lead in securing a maternity home in New Plymouth in connection with the hospital." i
