SHIPPING SHORTAGE.
• MELBOURNE, April-115. Mr. Rogers, 'Minister for Customs, denies that the Navigation Act has been responsible for th# shortage of shipping at Hobart, as the Commonwealth vessels were calling in lieu of Peninsular vessels. Last.year's export oi apples was only half the estimated shipment for 1922; also freight had been reduced 2s per case since 1921.
