An official communique from \ ladivostock reports that the appearance oi Keels south of Suiyagino has created a panic among the populace, who feared that the advent indicated a secret understanding between the Reds and the Japanese. Some residents at Spasskaya hurriedly prepared to leave, but order was restored upon the. appearance of Japanese troops. A report from Suiyagino states that the Japanese drove back three thousand well-armed Reds with artillery aiid two armoured trains. The Japanese losses were small. The Japanese later carried Alexandrovka, tlie Reds retreating and destroying • bridges. TOKIO, April 13. Vla.divostoek despatches state that the Japanese troops have driven „the Chita Government forces from the neutral zone between them and the Vladivostock Government troops.
