The Chinese Legation has received advices that Mr. Chow Tzuchi, a former Minister of Finance, and a prominent banker, h§s been appointed acting Prime Minister of China during Liang's so-called leave of absence, which terminates in ten days. . It is not expected Mr. Liang will resume the post unless General Wupeifu's opposition is overcome. Mr. Chow's appointment, while not immediately indicative of a complete change of MinTstry, has had a reassuring effect in financial and eommerciar circles. Mr. Chow's portfolio is the Ministry of Education.
