SPELL OF FINE WEATHER EXPECTED.

Good Friday was observed quietly in, Hawera. Suitable services were held in the various churches and appropriate music was sung. The weather remained fine for the greater part of the day, butm the evening heavy rain fell, ai;d thebarometer rose several points durjng thenight. .
