OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT.

ALICE JOYCE.

■ Alice Joyce in "Her Lord and Master," at the Opera House to-night, is seen in the finest feature in which "she has yet appeared. The character of Indiana furnishes her material for clever picture studies of the spoiled child who becomes the obedient wife. Holmes E. Herbert plays opposite Miss Joyce and presents a British aristocrat in capable manner. The cast, which includes such names as Walter McEwen, Frank Sheridan, Marie Shotwell, Louise Beaudet Eugene Ecker, John Sutherland, and Ida Waterman, is well chosen. Each member is an artist in his or her line. The entire production is praiseworthy and excels the stage version, in which Effie Shannon and Herbert Kelcey were co-starred. The picture should enjoy even greater success than the play.
