ALLEGED MANSLAUGHTER

Thaddeus Doodv was arrested this morning on a charge of manslaughter. It is renorted that Doody and John o'JNeill,"both single labourers, ..ere engaged in a tight last night in a street at Bangiora, and that the latter was arrested drunk and taken to the police station, where he complained of his head being soTe. On medical advice, O'Neill was taken to the Christeaurch hospital, but died shortly after admission. Doody appeared before the Court this morning and was remanded, bail being allowed.
