FARMERS^AND THE COMING CONFERENCE.

Newman, M.P., has notified the president of the Farmers' Union: 'Ke the proposed conference regarding the incidence of taxation between nominees ol: the Chambers of Commerce and the Commissioner of Taxes, I submitted that when the matter was mentioned in the House that farming interests should also be represented. c\ the Premier agreed to. ;n view of the early meeting of the conference I Bugg«st that the union take immediate steps to appoint delegates accordingly."
