TRIAL OF PLOTTERS,
BY CABLE—PBESB ASSOOIATIOie—COPYRIGHT
CAIEO, Mar. 25. Three of the five plotters, whose trial commenced on March 8, were found guilty, the others being released on the ground that there was insufficient evidence to convict them. The sentences will be confirmed before they are published.
[A previous cable stated that the trial had commenced of five Egyptians, including a member of Zaghlul Pasha's staff, on a charge of conspiring to murder British officers and officials, burn railways and telegraphs. The prosecution added that the accused organised a plot to murder Sarwat Pasha, now Prime Minister, but an accomplice informed the police, who seized the gang and bombs on the eve of the attempt.]
