The. Ciu-juvai organised byvthe A. and P. Association was held yfesterday and i proved an outstanding success, the at-] tendance being very larg indeed, and^ all the events well contested. J. Corrigan^ There were many fine horses entered and much good form was showm Tremendous interest centred round the Farmers' Trptting Eaee. It brought out a lot of competitors and much excellent form, greatly to the edification of the crowd. The Eltham Band were on. the ground and delighted spectators with their good playing, while the refreshments were in the capable hands of the ladies under Mrs Saiigster. Both were much appreciated.

Keen interest was taken in the Footballers' Relay Race (880 yards), 'for ■which there were nine entries. Hawera "with a brilliant team won in the good lame of lmin 4 54-ssec.

Heavy rain fell during the afternoon, imt too late.to affect the fortunes of tke Society.
