There was fine weather for the concluding day of the. Whangarei races and a large attendance. The course was in good order. The totalisator handled £19,128 for the day, a total of £34,279 10s for the meeting. Results: .Kauri Handicap—Golden Abbey 1, Trseor 2, Dactylis 3. Scratched: Annaroon, Jaffna. Won by a head. Time, 1.3 £-5".

Marsden Handicap—Marble Bell 1, Boomerday 2, Peakin 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, 1.42 2-5. Poroti Hurdles—Penniless 1, Signature 2, Welshman d. Scratched: Otara, Royal Prince, Rome. Won by half a head. Time, 3.22 1-5. Park Handicap—Spanner 1, Forest Gold % Archie 3. Scratched: Penona, No Bother. Won by two lengths, half a length between second and tnird. Time1, 1.42. • Kamo Handicap—Scrap o' Paper 1, Lady Kerman 2, Lady Hill 3. Scratched : Arrowfield. Won by a neck. Titoki Handicap—Tireless 1, Rere^ toa 2. Commission 3. Scratched: Doric and Welshman. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.30 2-5.

President's Handicap—Tamaroa 1, Infante 2, Nighttime 3. Won by two lengths. Scratched: North Loburn. -Time, 1.16 3-6. Farewell Handicap—Goldplane 1, Knighton 2, Prince Carl 3. Won by half a length.
