ENGINEER KILLED

I <BY TELEOEAPH—PB.BSS ASSOCIATION.) ELLINGTON, Oct. 15. AtT an early hour this morning the bpdy^ooff f Mr. E. F. Gould, constructional engineer, was found lying iix a gutter outside the Empire Hotel in Willis Street. It is apparent that the late Mr. ; Gould had fallen from his room on the third floor of the hotel. An examination of the deceased's room showed that the blind of the front window was torn, indicating that he overbalanced and had fallen through the window. At the time of the accident he was dressed only in- a smoking jacket. Death muet have been instantaneous. Deceased was about fifty, and had been .staying at the Empire for about four months, having come to Wellington front San Francisco. Investigations made at a later hour indicate that the affair was purely accidental.
