FALWASSER—HADDON

On Wednesday, September 6th, at the residence of Rev. R. T. P. Haddon t Normanhy, Mr Edward Geo. Falwassor was married to Miss Ranga Ruth Haddon, fourth daughter of Rev. •and Mrs Haddon, of Normanby. The Rev. A. Liversedgo and Rev. C. H. Olds, 8.A., were the officiating ministers. The bride looked charming attired in a dainty frock of white silk (embroidered by* Mrs Robinson, eldor sister of the bride), bridal veil and wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a spray o£,£reesias and violets, the gift of Mrs L. J. Williams. Miss Emma Haddon attended her sister as bridesmaid, and was becomingly attired in a pretty frock of sEell pink net over pale blue, with mob cap to match, and carried a bouquet of spring flowers. Mr Robinson acted as groomsman. TTie b, ride was given away by her father. The service throughout was a beautiful one, and commenced with the singing of a hymn in the Maori language. The remainder of the service was conducted in English. At the close of the ceremony the guests, numbering about forty, were hospitably entertained by the parents of. the bride. The usual 'toasts were honoured and suitable speeches given by both ministers, the chief and Mrs L. J. Williams. These were ably rtfiponded to l>y Rev. R. Haddon Mr Falwasser, senr., and by the bridegroom and Mr Robinson. The bride's travelling dress was a navy costume with pretty hat to match. The Juppy couple left for their honeymoon iv Wellington and Wanganui amid showers of greetings. Their future residence will be in New Plymouth.
