At Douglas on August 1 yearling heifers made 30s. better quality £3 2s 6d to £3 13s 6d, Jersey yearling heifers £5 12s to £6 Bsj springing heifers £9, dairy cows £10, £10 10e to £12, backward calvers £7 15s, £8 to £9. At Stony River on the same day we conducted a dispersal sale of Mr. F. R. Sole's dairy herd. Although only a moderate attendance was present, we report an excellent sale, the large herd of 70 cows, which, \yere for the most part Hokteins and ghorthorns 4 laveraging £15 15s.

At Inglewood on the same day we conducted a dispersal sale of a contracting plant, stock, etc.,. on account of Mr. W. The horses were a good lot, and drew/ attention from all parts of the province, the five best selling from £40 to £55, others with age cold to £30. The drays etc., were also well sought after. Other quotations: Dairy cows ■up~ >to i £16 and yearling heifers £2 15s.

At Stony River on August 2.store pigs made from 22s to 37s 6d, slips 14s, yearling sheers 16s to 21s, 2-year steers £2 11s to £2 15s, store cows 17s 6d.to 255, forward cows £3 13s, fat cows £7 10s, yearling heifers 23s to 27s 6d, Jereey yearling heifers £4 11s, empty heifers £3 12s 6d to £4 10s, in-calf heifers £4 15s, springing £10 10s to £15 10s, springing cows £7 10s to £14 Jersey cows £15 10s. £16105,. £18 to £23 10&, cows in profit, £11. At Okau on 3rd" inst. 2 and 4-tooth wethers made 12s 6d, jjtore cows 30s to 325, 18^morith steers 37« 6d, 2-year-old Bteers £2 12s 6d, forwai:d steers £4 le 6d to £5 16s, eratty heifers £6, in-calf heifers £6.17s 6d to £7 10s, springing heifers £9 to £10 12s. At Waiwakaiho on August 4 a good yarding of etore and dairy cattle was practically all "cleared, -prices on the whole remaining on a par with late rates. Store cows 20s to 37a 6d, forward cows £3 4s, yearling heifers 32s to £2 6s, J«reey yearling heiferm £6 18s, empty heifers £3 17s 6d to £4 15s, springing heifers £8 10s, Jersey springing heifers £16, springing .cows aged £8 to £9 10s, better sorts £11 10s to £14 10s.
