Special credit is due to the ladies for the splendid manner in which they worked, for without their splendid efforts the fine balance shown in the, ba'larfce-sheet just read would not fee there. It was resolved that a 'hearty vote of thanks be. accorded the ladies, which was carried by acclamation, a'so to Messrs G. Twidle and W. Hackett, who cut the blocks and placed them on the ground for the chooping and sawing events.
