The weather was Heal and the rground in good order, though a trifle .heavy, for the representative football match between Taranaki and South Auckland. There was a very large at"tendance of the public and keen interest was taken in the play. Taranaki we>re without the services of Roberts, who was replaced by Gray. The Springboks wiU play Taranaki at New. Plymouth on Saturday, July 16, and seats may be reserved, with Mr. J. McLeod. president of the Union. They play Wanganui on July 13, and ■-seats are available at H.nL. Jones and Son, Wanganui.'
