WEDDING
LYNCH-GRANT
A qiiiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church. on Wednesday last, June 29, when Ellen Catherine (Nellie)', youngest daughter of Mrs. J. Grant, Victoria Street, was married to Richard Lynch, only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Lynch, of Palmerstoii North. The bride, who- was given-away by her brother, Mr. Athol. Grant, looked dainty in a white crepe de chine and georgette frock trimmed with cryi stal v beads. She wore the customary 1 veil and orange blossoms arid carried a sKower bouquet of white, flowers and , maidenhair fern, with touches of pink. Miss Nellie Lynch (Palmerston North \\ attended as bridesmaid, and was attired in a shell pink accordeon pleated frock, relieved with champagne, and wore a black tulle hat. Miss Muriel Russell (niece of the bride) attended as flower girl and wore a dainty frock of pale pink net over silk and carried a basket of violets. Mr. F Ball carried out the duties of best .man, white the Rev. H. B. Gray was the officiatin X clergyman. The happy couple left the I church to the strains of the Wedding March, played by Mrs King, and, with the immediate relatives, retired to the residence of the bride's mother wherr* they partook of luncheon. The newly mamed couple afterwards left per motor tor Wanganui and Auckland, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride ■ travelled m a navy blue costume and 1 henna hat.
