According to a Hankow message mutinous Chinese troops at Wuchang, the capital of the Hupeh province, looted the mint of the Government Bank, torituring the director.
They burned hundreds of buildings, and' scores are dead. The American Trinity School is sacked.
The -mutineers resented the Governor's disbandment iplan. Quiet was restored when £13,000 was paid in back (wages. Fifty arrests were made.
