RIFLE SHOOTING.
(From Our Kaponga Correspondent.)' In spite of the tricky wind and light some very fair shooting was done on the Kaponga range on Saturday last. Quite a good muster of members turned out to compete for a trophy presented by Mr A. E. \\Jaugh. Some of the scores are omitted, as the shoots were not completed. The following are the completed scores over three ranges, 300, 500, -and 600 yards: Rfm. G. Harrison, 47, 44, 43—total 134; Rfm. G. Smith, 46, 41, 45—132; Rfm. T. Harrison, 43, 42? 45—130; Rfm. R. Willis, 45, 41, 44—130; Rfin. S. J. Hollard, 47^39, 41—127; Rfm. J. Guy, 42, 38, 43—123; Rfm. J. F. McCarthy, 45, 36, 39—120; Rfm. R. Phillips, 44, 37, 39—120; Rfm. A. Schumacher, 44, 41, 34—119; Rfm. E. Uttinger, 42, 40, 32-114; Rfm. A. Uttinger, 45, 39, 26 —100. On Saturday next the club will fire the first stages for the Handicap Championship Cup, and the members are asked to be on the range early.
