During the afternoon tea adjournment, the president (Mr. T Verry) voiced the feelings of all present when he said it seemed a pity to close the green in such beautiful weather. The past season had been a very successful one, the matches having been well contested. He would like to take the opportunity of thanking the working committee for the splendid way they had carried out their duties, and also the caretaker of the green, saying that the green had never played better than it had done this season.
