REQUESTS FOR, EXPENDITURE

Parr (Minister of Health) says that during his trip in the South Island with Dr Wylie (DirectorGeneral of Hospitals) he visited medical and dental schools in order to inquire into the conditions there, and he received reauests for considerable expenditure. He has reached certain conclusions regarding the claims of these schools and Otago University for large expenditure on new buildings, and these will be submitted to Cabinet in the form of a special report.
