A new gold reef at Alexander river is exciting much attention in Reef ton and-district. The reef has been traced a, mile, and a quarter from the top of a hill to a valley, and the stone continues strong, well denned and rich. A large number of visitors in Keefton are going to the scene of the operations. Two additional prospecting parties left Reefton (this morning by motor car for Stevenson's Flat, the nearest route of access, being only four miles from the new.find. The motor made the return journey in 3^ hours. A, ( track is being made to the find by money subscribed by Reef ton citizens.
